Surface Locations Pane

The surface Locations pane contains icons for Select/Move mode, icons for the default locations, and the Defaults button. The surface Locations pane is located at the left side of the Locations tab.

Select/Move

The Select/Move mode allows you to select locations in the 2D Canvas and move them to different locations on the canvas.

Location

The Location tool creates a location every time you click in the 2D Canvas.

Each location is given a default name of location_<number>, where the number is the next unused incremental integer. You can change the name of the location to something more descriptive using the Name field in the Location Properties pane.

Stockpile

The Stockpile tool creates a stockpile every time you click in the 2D Canvas.

Each stockpile is given a default name of stockpile_<number>, where the number is the next unused incremental integer. You can change the name of the stockpile to something more descriptive using the Name field in the Location Properties pane.

Process

The Process tool creates a process every time you click in the 2D Canvas.

Each process is given a default name of process_<number>, where the number is the next unused incremental integer. You can change the name of the process to something more descriptive using the Name field in the Location Properties pane.

Fill Location

The Fill Location tool creates a fill location every time you click in the 2D Canvas.

Each fill location is given a default name of fill_<number>, where the number is the next unused incremental integer. You can change the name of the fill location to something more descriptive using the Name field in the Location Properties pane.

Defaults

When you click the Defaults button, the Location Defaults form appears.

You use the Location Defaults form to set the default properties for each location type that is available in the Locations pane.

Fields on the Location Defaults Form

Field	Description
Location type	The location types that are available in the Locations pane. Options are: Surface production Fill location Stockpile Process
Image	The default image that appears in the 2D Canvas when you add the location type.
Ellipsis button	Opens the Choose an image form. You use the Choose an image form to select a new default image for the location type.
Reset	Resets the default image for the location type to the MineSched default image.
Prefix	The alphanumeric term that is the beginning of the default location name.
Starting number	The number that is added as the suffix for the first default name of the location.
Increment	The number by which the suffix number increases for each additional location.
